Collection Description

Students for a Democratic Society.  Flyers, Literature, and Photographs, 1969.  CAMC Collection 17.  1 folder and 1 oversize folder.

ABSTRACT:
This collection contains flyers, literature, and four photographs from the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS).  There are two photographs of Ted Gold, one of Gold and Bill Ayers, and one of Gold, Ayers, and Nancy Hanson.  Gold and Ayers were members of SDS.  This group was an activist student movement during the 1960s.  Gold and Ayers were both members of the Weatherman, a militant faction of SDS.  Gold and Ayers visited Gustavus Adolphus College in 1969, and Hanson was a Gustavus student.
