Research Help:

Getting Started

The library has a number of sources that can help you research your roles. Some are primary sources (records of events from the time period involved), some are secondary (analysis and interpretations of the past), and some are a mix. This guide will provide some starting points. Feel free to stop by the reference desk with questions as your research progresses.

Good to Know

It's librarians' job to help people with their research, and they are good at it. Stop by the reference desk for research help.

Looking for a quiet spot? The upper level is the quiet floor.

Need to work with a group? You can reserve a room; some have a large screen and computer to work together on a Powerpoint or other document.

There's a place to fill water bottles near the front steps on all three floors. No bottle? There are drinking fountains in the back (south end) of every floor.

Books can be checked out for 6 weeks. Browsing collection books for 4 weeks. Magazines for one week. Videos for 3 days.
