Collection Description

Glass, Arthur W.  Gradebooks and Papers of Arthur Glass, 1950-1982.  GACA Collection 145.  1 ½ Hollinger boxes.

ABSTRACT:
The Arthur W. Glass collection consists of gradebooks and personal papers.  Glass taught various classes within the Biology Department at Gustavus Adolphus College from 1950 into 1986.  Gradebooks document student grades from 1952 through 1979.  Other documents in the collection consist of letters, cards, an Ode to Dr. Glass, a story about Glass in the Greater Gustavus Quarterly, and some miscellaneous documents.  Gradebook access is restricted.

Biographical Note

Arthur Glass served as a Professor of Biology at Gustavus Adolphus College from 1950 to 1986.  Following his retirement, he was awarded the rank of emeritus professor.  Glass graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Gustavus during 1943.  He went on to earn a Master of Science and PhD from the University of Minnesota.
