ABSTRACT:
The Alternative Student Press Publications collection contains eight different student periodicals dating from 1961 through 2013. Titles include the following: The Gadfly, Notes from the Underground, The Iron Butterfly, Vox Clamantis in Deserto, Saint Peter Magazine, The Gustavus Globe and World Leader Sun Times, The Alternative, The O-Press, The Bi-fortnightly Anodyne and The Fourth Crown. These miscellaneous short-lived publications had a variety of purposes. Titles produced in the 1960s often had a counter-culture sensibility while works produced in the 1970s and 1980s lack overt political commentary. Publications are organized by date. There are missing editions for some titles. New materials will be added as available.
