Rahn, H. Robert.  S.K. Hall, 1994.  GACA Collection 215.  1 folder.

ABSTRACT:
The H.R. Rahn collection consists of one printed book on S.K. Hall, written by H. Robert Rahn, and correspondence between Rahn and Gustavus Adolphus College written at the time of donation. The book was published in 1994 by Leech Printing, Ltd., and sponsored by Culture, Heritage and Citizenship of Manitoba.

Historical Note

“Steingrimur Kristjan Hall, born in Gimli, Manitoba, was the first Icelander in the Western Hemisphere to pursue music as a profession.  He also became one of the most devoted promoters of Icelandic poetry and music in North America.”

S.K. Hall was a student at Gustavus Adolphus College from 1897-1899.
