IDS243+: Social Justice, Peace, and Development (Gustavus Semester in India Program)

Co-sponsored by Gustavus and Concordia, this year the Gustavus Semester in India program will focus on 8 research topics related to social justice, peace, and development:

  1. Federal Policy and American Indians
  2. The "New Jim Crow" and Institutional Racism
  3. Sustainable Energy Initiatives and Opportunities
  4. Challenges of Belonging to a Religious Minority
  5. The Changing State of Labor Unions
  6. Ableism in the U.S.
  7. The U.S.'s Complicated Place in Global Nuclear Disarmament
  8. The Role of the U.S. in the Israel-Palestine Conflict
