ABSTRACT:
The Compositions and Notes of Rev. Clifford Ansgar Nelson collection contains his publications, sermons, notes, and several journals he kept during his travels.

Biographical Note

Nelson was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1906.  He graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1926 before attending Augustana Theological Seminary.  Nelson was ordained in 1929 and served in several congregations in Minnesota, Illinois, and Florida, as well serving on the boards of Gustavus Adolphus College, Augustana Seminary, and the Minnesota Council of Churches. He spent time on a mission to Singapore from 1960 to 1961.  He married E. Berniece in 1933, and the couple had three children. Nelson received an S.T.M from Augustana Seminary in 1936.
