ABSTRACT:
The Book of Sermons by Rev. C.J. Petri collection contains sermons written in Swedish. Petri attended Augustana College in 1871 and graduated in 1877. He was a teacher at Gustavus Adolphus College from 1884–88. He resigned from his teaching job to become a pastor at Augustana Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was known as a preacher who took time to visit the sick at hospitals and was liked throughout the Church community.
