FTS: Mirrors & Windows: Representation in Children's Literature: Reference Works

Why Use Reference Works?

Specialized reference works such as encyclopedias provide overviews and can give you a good sense of what's out there and what different approaches are being taken to a given topic. Most of our reference sources are located in the Reference Collection on the main floor of the library. Some are available online.

Recommended Reference Works

Use the drop down menu above or click on one of the topics listed below to find reference works related to children's literature.  The guide is not comprehensive, so stop by the reference desk to chat with a librarian about finding information related to children's authors, children's literature, book awards, etc.
