From the Website: The Minnesota Geological Survey is a research and service arm of the Newton Horace Winchell School of Earth Sciences at the University of Minnesota. It investigates the geology of Minnesota and provides basic public information on the geology of the state.

The place to begin looking for geology resources. The USGS has long been a major sponsor and producer of research material in United States geology. See the USGS Publications Warehouse for additional access.

A database of citations to USGS publications including reports and thematic maps back to 1880. Access to full text of many publications throughout the publication history of the USGS . Copies of other publications may be available in the Gustavus Government Documents collection.

Although the quantity of information varies by state, there is a fair amount of local and state level material available.

Although limited research data is available to non members, the organization Website provides an overview of geology issues in the European Union.

The earth sciences section of NRCAN, provides data, tools and maps of the Canadian geological survey.
