ABSTRACT:
The Minnesota Beta Chapter of Pi Gamma Mu collection consists of constitutions, membership lists, minutes, and financial records. Membership in this social science honor society was obtained by students having “had at least twenty-semester hours in . . . sociology, economics, political science, history, philosophy, and business administration” at Gustavus Adolphus College. The Beta Chapter’s first meeting was held on 18 March 1929. Based on these records and articles in the student newspaper, the local chapter appears to have become inactive after 1942.
