ABSTRACT:
The August Elmer Turner collection contains correspondence to and from various friends and family, the Los Angeles Resolution Award, and an article about the Harry M. Ballantyne Award he received in 1959. Collection also contains newspaper clippings and a handwritten poetry book, all of which are in German. In many of the letters, August describes his work with the Y Men’s Club and with the Rotary Club.
