Literary Circle.  Minutes and Starlight Messenger, 1888-1916.  GACA Collection 42.  1 Records Center Carton and 1 Hollinger box.

ABSTRACT:
The Literary Circle collection consists of this organization’s minutes and publication, the Starlight Messenger.  The Literary Circle was active at Gustavus Adolphus College from at least the late 1880s until sometime prior to the 1920s.  Materials for this coeducational group date inclusively from March 1888 through January 1916.  Writings concerning the college along with the student body and faculty are found in these volumes and are generally witty and humorous although sometimes serious.  The collection is arranged both alphabetically and chronologically.
