G Club.  Minutes and Programs of the G Club, 1918-1949.  GACA Collection 103.  2 folders.

ABSTRACT:
The G Club collection consists of the organization’s meeting minutes from 1918-27 and two banquet programs from 1948-49.  The minute book contains the organization’s constitution and lists of member names with their corresponding sports.  The club formed at Gustavus Adolphus College during November 1918.  Members sought “to promote and encourage athletics at Gustavus Adolphus; to place before the proper authorities all grievances and needed reforms in the athletic system.”  Membership was limited to male athletes who had earned a varsity letter and all coaches.
