Gustavus Adolphus College Aid Society. Aid Society Records, 1896-1912. GACA Collection 115. 4 folders.
The Gustavus Adolphus College Aid Society collection consists of financial records, founding documents, member rosters, and meeting minutes. Membership in this organization was limited to women, and the group was occasionally called the Ladies Aid Society or the Willing Workers. The society sought to “raise and maintain a fund for the benefit of Gustavus Adolphus College; and its plan of operation, to secure such fund through subscriptions, donations, voluntary gifts and bequests of money or property and other sources. . . .”
