Skartvedt, Peter M.  Correspondence and Notebook of P.M. Skartvedt, 1916-1952.  GACA Collection 263.  6 folders.

ABSTRACT:
The Peter M. Skartvedt collection contains correspondence with chemistry professors, students, and friends, along with a notebook holding notes on Quantitative Chemistry.  He corresponds with Professor P.M. Glasoe of St. Olaf College, with whom he wrote a Chemistry textbook in 1927 and with Arne Langsjoen, another Professor of Chemistry at Gustavus.  Skartvedt was a Professor of Chemistry at Gustavus Adolphus College from 1915-54.  He received his B.A. from St. Olaf College and his M.A. from the University of Minnesota.  He also received an honorary Doctor of Science degree from St. Olaf College in 1947.
