Nelson, Paul A. Scrapbook and Correspondence, 1939-1941 and 1979-1980. GACA Collection 274. 2 folders.
ABSTRACT:
The Paul A. Nelson collection contains a scrapbook with photographs taken during the late 1930s and early 1940s at Gustavus Adolphus College. Nelson graduated in 1941. Pages include notes about most of the photographs, including who is in them. There is a large section of images pertaining to the Epsilon Pi Alpha fraternity, including an invitation and program from the 50th Anniversary celebration in 1978. The collection also holds a series of correspondence from 1979-80 between Nelson and Goren Friborg of Sweden, pertaining to Nelson’s great grandfather Anders Nilsson. Friborg was writing a book about Hybo, the village where Anders Nilsson lived. There are also a few letters about Nelson’s trip to Sweden.
