Nelson, G. Adolph. Programs and Sheet Music of Percy Grainger, 1941-1943 GACA Collection 304. 1 Hollinger box.
ABSTRACT:
The G. Adolph Nelson collection consists of sheet music written by Percy Grainger and conducted by Nelson, along with Grainger’s adaptations of others’ works. Grainger was a prominent composer who was instrumental in reviving interest in British folk music. An essay on the use of a cappella choirs by Grainger is included. Also, there are programs from performances of the Gustavus Choir during a tour showcasing some of Grainger’s works.
