Collection Description

Queer History and Culture in the U.S.: 1890-Present.  "Queer History at Gustavus" Display Materials, 2014.  GACA Collection 357.  2 folders.

ABSTRACT:
The “Queer History at Gustavus” collection contains materials used for a display about the history of and views towards the gay community at Gustavus Adolphus College.  This display was created by students in History 244 - Queer History and Culture in the U.S.: 1890-Present.  Research for the display was conducted during Spring 2014, though some information dates from as early as 1952.  Materials from the display were photocopied when possible, and for the materials too large to keep, photographs and inventories were taken to best preserve the information.
