ABSTRACT:
The President’s Council on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (PCDEI) collection consists of meeting minutes, correspondence, forms and feedback, committee charge, and strategic planning. PCDEI focuses on creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive campus community.
“Grounded in the College’s core values of excellence, community, justice, service, and faith, the President’s Council on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (PCDEI) works to further the Gustavus Acts strategic plan, with particular emphasis on creating and maintaining an inclusive and equitable curriculum, learning environment, and workplace that affirms the dignity of all people.”
The council does this by focusing on its charge, summarized “as a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community, we examine and challenge our biases, practices, and institutional structures and, in so doing, advance the values of justice, transformative education, and intellectual and personal growth.”
