Barnens Tidning, 1886-1919. LCA Collection 89. 1 flat box and ½ Hollinger box.
ABSTRACT:
Barnens Tidning (Children’s Paper) was published by the Lutheran Augustana Book Concern. It was a periodical designed for Sunday school-aged children and was widely distributed throughout the synod. Publication of Barnvännen, a periodical intended for young readers, was discontinued in favor of the new periodical. Barnens Tidning contained pictures, articles, stories, and poems for the young readers. Printed in Swedish, subscriptions to the paper slowly dwindled with the growing demand for English material. Barnens Tidning ceased publication in 1939.
