ABSTRACT:
The Financial Records of Warren Hospital and Emmaus Lutheran Home of Warren, Minnesota include audit reports, monthly financial documentation, and records of auction proceeds.  The Warren Hospital was established in 1907 and also functioned as a two year training facility for nurses.  The hospital was offered to the Red River Valley Conference in March 1913 at the first annual meeting of the Conference in Warren, Minnesota.  The following year the Conference accepted Warren Hospital under the stipulations that at least one seat of the hospital board be held by a local member from the Warren community to protect local interests and that the nursing program be preserved.  The Red River Valley Conference also adopted the financial matters of the Emmaus Lutheran Home and combined the documents of the Warren Hospital and the Emmaus Lutheran Home in the 1960s.
