ABSTRACT:
The Sheyenne District collection contains minutes from district meetings. The Sheyenne District of the Red River Valley Conference of the Augustana Synod was located in Northern North Dakota. The District included parts of Benson, Bottineau, Burke, Cavalier, Divide, Eddy, McHenry, McKenzie, McLean, Mountrail, Pierce, Ramsey, Renville, Rolette, Sheridan, Towner, Ward, Wells, and Williams counties. From 1916-1940 the Sheyenne District was part of the Minnesota Conference. The body became part of the Red River Valley Conference during 1941. The Sheyenne and Bismarck districts merged in 1944 to create the Dakota District.
