Materials that are damaged beyond repair, are superseded, or are lost will be evaluated for replacement or removal from the collection on a title-by-title basis. Additionally, library faculty will conduct a regular weeding program of all collections. Items that library faculty determine should be removed from the collection will be reviewed by the entire library faculty. Faculty outside of the library may be consulted. This weeding should be conducted as part of an overall collection assessment program and should entail not just removal, but the purchase of replacement and substitute copies as needed.
