ABSTRACT:
The Illuminated Manuscripts Pages collection contains six pages from illuminated manuscripts. An illuminated manuscript is a document in which the text is supplemented by decorations, such as initials, borders, or miniature illustrations. One page is a palimpsest, which is a manuscript where the original writing has been removed to make room for later writing, but traces of the original text still remain.
