Information Desk: Periodicals

Periodicals

What are periodicals? The periodicals collection includes resources such as scholarly journals, magazines, and newspapers that are published at regular intervals (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.). The Library provides access to both print and electronic journals (also referred to as e-journals or online journals).

Print journals: The print collection is located in the lower level of the library. Journals are shelved alphabetically by title. Newspapers and the most recent issues of select popular journals are kept on the second floor near the main entrance.

Searching for articles in print and electronic journals:

  • Search Library databases for e-journals.
  • Consult the Journal Locator for a complete listing of our print periodical holdings and full-text e-journal subscriptions.
  • Search the Library Catalog for all of our print holdings and e-journal subscriptions.

Loan Period: Print periodicals may be checked out. The loan period is 7 days for faculty, staff, and students.
