POL 110: US Government and Politics: Start

This guide will help you conduct research for this course, especially for both short papers and the research paper. Use the resources on the tabs above, as well as the information listed below, to explore various places to search.

  • Don't hesitate to ask if you've got questions! Send me (Julie) an email. I am familiar with the kinds of research students do for POL 110 and  I can help you solve any research problems you have or meet with you to discuss your topic and develop research strategies. We can work via email or set up a virtual or in person time to chat.
  • You can also find library and research help at the library's Information Desk or via Reference Services

If you are new to the library or need a refresher, consult our Library FAQs and overview of the Library. We also have a guide on how to do research well - use it to brush up and expand your research skills! And since everyone can use a refresher on how to find books in the library, we have a guide for that, too.

Finally, be sure to also consult the research guide for Political Science, which will give you addition ideas and strategies for finding materials related to your topics.
