What is energy justice? Energy justice is all about fairness and equity in energy systems. Research and social movement work on energy (in)justice identifies and tries to counteract unfair distribution of the benefits and costs of energy systems and services. It tries to involve all social groups, especially the disadvantaged, in energy decision-making processes. Achieving energy justice means addressing the driving forces of social and spatial inequality.
